This post isn't about my relationship.
I know what I want to say is probably not politically correct... Especially since I had some friends who died on this day five years ago at the hand of Islamo-Fascists...
The media is currently doing its 24 hour cry-fest of personal stories aimed at the viewer's feelings and attempting to evoke grieving and healing. Am I the only one who is sick and tired of it?
Personally, I moved past the shock and the grieving a year or two ago, and I've been coasting at the "Let's just kick some ass" stage. Am I the only one who feels this way?

My overall feelings are too complex for me to try to sum up.
About two years ago I shut off my cable TV service and I've never connected an antenna. I've never liked radio. So I only watch and listen to DVDs and CDs that I've chosen.
I set my own media agenda as it were.
Love your blog; admire your relationship. Was particularly fascinated to hear you say that the clothes and lingere aspect was (I think you termed it) "an installed fetish."
I had one moderately brief experience with that through an on-line domme - I didn't get it, but we didn't stick with it that long.
W/r/t Sept 11th "fatigue", always dangerous to inject politics into a blog about other things, so I'll just say that I'm pretty careful about how much media I consume around days and times like this, so that I stay as informed as I want to be without having my emotions played upon for other people's gain.
Gee, thinking about it, if my beloved would like to play with my emotions for her gain, that might be another story (grin).

Hi Jamie,
Thanks for the kind words.
I want to hear more about your experience with that online Domme and having an "installed fetish". Can you elaborate?
Hi Richard,
I'm in a similar space. I used to be a cable news junkie, but I've slowly pulled away from that.
Getting back to the topic of this blog, I would rather be naked, on the floor, massaging my Mistress's feet while she relaxes with a goood book, than watch anything on TV.
Well, get permission, and join the Marines. They are accepting men up to an age of 42.
no, you're not. I was on the island, looking downtown at it. the whiney/victim thing is, imo, way overblown.
these people want to kill as many westerners/americans as possible. we'll just have to kill those first.
it's a war. a religious war. a wide-open, extremist-muslim vs. techno-economic-western culture war.
I feel very much as you do.
I feel the same as you laura's boy. Those people who want to kill us and put every Woman in the world in a burka and make her submit to living under religious law are a great danger and must be fought for they pose the greatest threat to having an enlightened and Matriarchal future.
Being submissive doesn't mean cowering in the post of evil, kudos for your post!
I feel what the date really represents is the day the media in general, consummated it's relationship with NeoConAmr. That was followed by two years of being cummed on by the same couple. (In this since 'fuck,' is implied in a positive connotation, regarding the pols and the meds). At this point I think I might be impressed they've kept it up so long. It must be an erogenous record. Too bad they tossed in war with the porn, but thats hollywood I guess.
also seratogoa, do you remember who declared war? Or should I say who didn't? And do you know whos killed a vastly greater number of whom? And who started it? Terrorism is peanuts compared to US led, Western foreign policy. They're agitators, allowing oneself to be so overcome by any act of terrorism as to declare war, (declare war heedlessly, at any expense, and clamour to spend more as the fighting countries collapse) is synonymous with the idea of smashing your computer and going out to the woods as a response to the unabomber. Being strong means staying normal, not going along with being nuts.
